While back I got bored in one of my blowoff college courses, so I spent all the class time making my own instance, so I figured i get your take on it. The Elemental Void is a mysterious place where the 4 elemental planes: Deepholm, The Skywall, The Firelands, and The Abyssal Maw, all connect to each other, as well as the Shadow Plane used by death knights to travel certain places. Elementals from each plane were trapped inside and mastered by the great king of the Elemental Void, Sorith. The Elementals are Fire, Frost, Thunder, Nature, Water, Shadow, and Light (sorry but no Arcane, fuck Arcane). This instance includes 8 bosses, one for each Elemental, then Sorith himself. Basically Tirion Fordring wanted more help before he took on Icecrown Citadel, so he made a journey to the Elemental Void in order to seek Sorith’s help. Sorith has always loved battle but the Elementals under his command refused service to another weaker then themselves and set up a tournament to test the power of their champions. If this tournament is won, Sorith and his armies will help Fordring in his struggle. The Elementals have manifested themselves as cloaked humanoids that use swords. The order in which you do these bosses is up to you, but in order to face Sorith all 7 Elementals must have been defeated. I have yet to choose all the health pools and damage, so you’re all welcome to give your thoughts. The place of battle for each boss will be in its own tournament arena circle, similar to the Trial of the Crusader one, unless I say otherwise. To cut down on about half of the comments, I’m going to say this now: yes, I have a lot of time on my hands. WALL OF TEXT INCOMING!!!
The Sword of Fire
Living Flame - an untargetable flame will slowly follow one raid member, after 3 minutes another will appear, then another after 1.5 minutes, ad will keep spawning in half the time before (90 seconds, 45 seconds, 22 seconds, and so on), this flame cannot be lower then a 5 second cooldown (serves as a soft enrage timer), deals 10k Fire damage a second to anyone who walks through it
Living Bomb - one random raid member will be hit for 3k Fire damage a second an blow up after 8 seconds, dealing 50k Fire damage to all targets within 20 yards (except him/herself), 30 second cooldown
Ignite Weapons - instantly ignites the bosses weapon, causing the boss to attack 50% faster and deal an extra 40% weapon damage as Fire damage, 40 second cooldown, lasts 10 seconds, boss cannot be disarmed at this time
Pyroblast - randomly target a random raid member and blast them for with an instant Pyroblast, dealing 12k Fire damage, 8 second cooldown (can be reduced by Fire resistance, but not fully resisted)
Dancing Flames - a fire debuff that will be constant throughout the whole fight, dealing 2k Fire damage a second and will jump to another target if the current one goes below 50% heath or has been on the target for 20 seconds
Flame Buffet -will randomly hit 5 raid members with fore 5k Fire damage and increasing fire damage taken by 50% for 30 seconds, 40 second cooldown
Turn To Ashes -the boss will jump to the middle of the arena and start a 5 second cast, at the conclusion the 10 yards around him will be covered in fire deal 10k fire damage a second of anyone who walks through it - also after the conclusion of the 5 second cast, which ever way he is facing will be shot a concentrated flame that slowly goes 480 degrees in either direction (try thinking the Lurker Below’s Spout attack) and will kill anyone hit with it and burns through any immunity (I didn’t like the idea that this fire couldn’t burn through an Ice Block, so I just made Paladins unable to stop it either)
Strategy Beware anyone targeted with the Living Bomb and spread out, so the entire raid doesn’t have to run from the afflicted person. Healers use caution with anyone hit with Flame Buffet or Dancing Flames, and extra heals on the tank during Ignite Weapons. Everyone must be ready to move if the Living Flame comes near them. During Turn to Ashes, run as fast as you can to behind the boss and just keep moving to avoid the blast. The longer the fight is, the harder it will become. Long as you have up Fire Resistance and be ready to move, this fight won’t be too difficult.
Sword of Ice
Heat Loss - the bosses’ auto attacks have a 5% chance to lower their targets movement and attack speed by 30% for 10 seconds
Absolute Zero - will place a person in an Iceblock, causing them to take 3k Frost Damage a second (but becomes immune to all other sources of damage and heals), the Iceblock has 80k health (300k health on 25 man), 30 second cooldown
Ice Barrier - the boss places a barrier upon himself for 400k health (1 million health on 25 man) that absorbs interrupts and the boss then casts the channeled spell Heavy Blizzard, 90 second cooldown
Heavy Blizzard - a Blizzard will form a ring at the very outer edge of the arena that will slowly close into the middle until interrupted, dealing 10k frost damage a second and immobilizes their victims for 2 seconds
Avalanche - every 90 seconds the arena will be 1/5 covered in snow, slowing anyone in it by 70% (soft enrage timer)
Shatter - 4 icicle’s will surround a random non-melee raid member that will slam together after 4 seconds, dealing 50k Frost damage to anyone caught inside
Ice Chains - random raid members will be hit with Ice Chains that will drag them to the bosses location, when the chains reach the boss he will do an agro reset and will only hit his target until the chains are destroyed, 100k health (340k health on 25 man)
Chill To The Bones - at 20% boss health, Heavy Blizzard, Ice Chains, and Absolute Zero will no longer be used, but Chill to the Bones will be active, similar to Heavy Blizzard, but cannot be stopped until the boss is defeated
Strategy Toss up Frost Resistance for this fight. The basic idea is to have all the DPS ready to switch to attack anyone hit with Absolute Zero or Ice Chains. Ranged beware the Shatter and run out of it soon as the icicles appear. You’re going to want to pop cooldowns for the Ice Barrier and ready to interrupt the Heavy Blizzard when the barrier’s down. At 20% have everyone stack on the boss to maximize the time you have before the blizzard reaches you. Also try to stay off the Avalanche snow or else you won’t be fast enough to avoid Shatter.
More to come soon...
