Background: Axiom originated in World of Warcraft from former members of Ænigma who were looking for a difference. This charter describes our core principles and expectations as a guild set for progression in the World of Warcraft. They are subject to change, as needed, at the final discretion of the GM, who will discuss the changes with the Co-GMs and other interested parties as needed. Core Values: As representatives of our guild, we expect all members to display the following values at all times. If a situation arises that is not specifically addressed in this Charter, these values will be the principles applied in coming to a resolution. We value maturity: Our members will refrain from childish behavior. Our members will accept leadership decisions graciously, even when we disagree. Our members will refrain from harassment or bullying We value integrity: Our members will deal honestly and fairly with others. Or members will honor their commitments. We value respect for others: Our members will treat others with respect, setting an example in word and deed. Our members will keep all guild conversations civil, calm, and clean. Our members will abide by the decisions of guild and raid leaders, and handle our disagreements graciously. We value generosity: Our members will share generously when a guild mate is in need. Our members will give more than we take from the guild bank. We value fun: When all else fails, remember that we are a guild of people who have banded together because we enjoy this game and we enjoy playing it together. If we’re not having fun, we’re doing it wrong. Guild leadership will offer opportunities for fun guild activities. Communication: As in life, the key to a guild’s success is good communication. We offer several ways to keep in touch: in-game guild chat is, of course, the beginning. We also offer a Ventrilo server that is always online, and the guild forums are another excellent choice. With all of these options, members should be able to keep communicating. If you need to reach someone, we expect you to take the responsibility to do so. For additional help, the following members may be contacted for information or referral to a GM or Co-GM: Ebbikenezer (GM, Founder, Heals Officer) Alts: Hèr, Freeform ALSO via E-mail:

Ventrilo Use/Voice/Website/In-game Communications: Any member of Axiom using discriminatory, sexist, racist, foul, crude or explicit language in our Ventrilo servers without consent of all current channel members are immediately subject to disciplinary action including, but not limited to, loss of rank, loss of guild privileges, loss of Ventrilo access, and loss of website member access. Obscenities will not be tolerated, if they are offensive to the person being subjected to them. Slipping, outbursts, and mistakes are human nature; however, continual abuse of In-game chat, Ventrilo, the www.axiomgaming.org website and World of Warcraft forums will not be tolerated and are punishable immediately by dismissal from Axiom. Resources: Guilds and Raiding are a group effort and as such do not come free, nor cheap (as far as in-game gold is concerned). While privileges such as repairing from the Guild Bank coffers have been extended to currently confirmed raid members, donations are greatly appreciated and needed to keep such benefits convenient and available for our members. As a side-effect of such generosity, we have managed to maintain a reasonable amount of materials for enchanting/crafting/inscribing goods for our members, and with continued contributions from our members, will be doing so far into the future. As far as professions in the guild, any guild member is expected to offer their services to other guild members at the cost of materials to fellow members -- not requiring a tip, although they are welcome, if offered. In general, try to give more than you take (a practice that works in life, as well as the World of Warcraft.) Conflict Resolution: Any violation of our charter should be reported to a guild officer or GM. We can’t resolve what we don’t know about. In reporting violations, we expect the reporter to behave with integrity, giving a fair accounting of the issue. Most conflicts occur, not because of harmful intent, but misunderstanding. When conflicts do arise, the best end would be for the parties involved to resolve the situation with maturity, integrity, respect, and generosity (see the Core Values, above.) For major issues that cannot be resolved between parties, or Charter violations by members, Ebbikenezer should be contacted, immediately. For minor disagreements, any of the guild officers can be contacted, and they will resolve the situation and report the issue to guild leadership as they see fit. Raids: Raiding with fairly skilled group of people, intelligent raid leaders, quiet Ventrilo and all-around good people is not only a privilege but an honor and if you show lack of appreciation for such things by not showing up when depended upon (wasting the attendees’ time), your spot is will easily be filled by people who do appreciate it. Guild members who have shown a dedication to guild raids will be awarded the rank of Group Raider or Raider. These ranks are a privilege, and require additional commitment, as outlined below. Raid Composition: There are currently two levels of raid groups in Axiom, Regular(ten man) and Heroic (twenty-five man). The Raid Leader assigned to each Regular Raid group will compose their ten man group according to their needs. The Raid Leaders are… …responsible for providing direction during the raid, they are in charge, …responsible for all choices regarding group composition, character or class substitutions, discipline, and strategy. They will consult with others at their discretion. Raid Complaints: Complaints during Raiding or Looting are not appropriate and not tolerated; at a minimum, violators are subject to dismissal from the raid and to disciplinary action which may include losing your Raider status (and Rank, if you have such.) Complaints against the Raid Leaders can be filed by contacting the GM(s) or an Officer. Heroic Raid Details: Twenty-five man Raids are currently run by the GM and the Co-GMs in attendance for the Raid. Korath is currently the Raid leader for these raids, with others in charge of different aspects of the Raid. Group composition for these raids will be decided as follows: 1) Class/Spec/Skill needs. 2) Raid Attendance. 3) Contributions that player brings to the raid.(Buffs, Intelligence, Skill, Respectful, Knowledge of Content) 4) Current members who have accepted calendar invites and are logged on. Also, please refer to above posted rules on regular Raid leaders in regards to who is leading the twenty-five man raid. Raid Attendance: Guild members who wish to attain the recognition and inclusion that come with the Raider ranks should make every effort to attend whenever possible. Calendar Events for raids will be posted no less than 48 hours prior to the event. Any invitee who wishes to attend or to decline is expected to do so at least 24 hours before the raid, so the raid leader can make group composition decisions. Please accept raids as the character you intend to bring, or notify the raid leader immediately, if you plan to bring an alt. Guild members of either Raider rank can lose said rank if they accept the calendar event but do not attend the raid, unless they notify guild leadership at least 24 hours in advance. If unforeseen conflicts come up within the 24 hours before the raid, the guild leadership will consider the situation on a case-by-case basis. Raiders can also lose their rank if they show a pattern of forgetting to either accept or decline raids. Once you have accepted a raid calendar event invitation, you are committing to the following: 1. logging in at least 10 minutes prior to the raid start time 2. having the proper gear in good condition 3. having sufficient potions, foods, flasks, and reagents 4. having appropriate Addons enabled 5. having everything else you need ready to go 6. following the raid leader’s direction throughout the raid If you need help with any of these, contact guild leadership (starting with the raid leader, or guild officers, and we will help you get prepared. Please ask questions as far in advance of the raid as possible. Loss of Raid Privileges: Raiders who do not meet the above expectations may be subject to the loss of rank, in addition to a one-week ban from all raids. Members who are not ranked as Raiders may be subject to the same one-week ban, and will certainly undermine their efforts to be promoted to Raider. Declining a calendar Raid invite 15 or fewer minutes before invites go out is absolutely not acceptable and that Raider is subject to disciplinary action as listed above for absenteeism/tardiness, as well as possibly losing rank or guild membership. If you accept a Calendar Event for a raid invitation, and do not show up for the raid without a reasonable excuse for missing said raid you will be denied all of your raid, guild bank, and other membership privileges aside from your actual membership itself, until there can be a guild leadership meeting with the absentee and at least four high ranking (Officer/Co-GM, GM) members of Axiom to determine disciplinary action to be taken. All action taken by said group can be overturned by a full leadership meeting, provided a majority of the leadership votes for said discipline to be retracted. At a minimum, any member declining late must be assessed a one week raiding ban. Exceptions to these Raid policies: If you, as a new recruit, did not receive a calendar invite to the current week’s raids, you are excused, provided you have not given verbal or in-game commitment to one of the Officers or GMs that you would be attending the raid, at which point you are then subject to all the attendance rules as if you were then a no-show. Extenuating circumstances may be discussed with the GM, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Loot Rules: Non-Dedicated Axiom Raid Loot Rules: Loot Rules during a raid where the majority (80%+) of members in attendance are members of Axiom are as follows: Axiom has a pre-assigned Loot Council consisting of up to 5 Officers and/or Founders/GM’s, and two random raid attendees, decided by random “25” roll by the current raid leader. The random Loot Council members must change every raid, and are not required to be Axiom members, so as to keep anonymity during Loot Council votes as much as possible. Boss Loot drops will be linked by the Raid Loot master, and attendees are expected to link the item they will be replacing with it, if interested in the loot. Council Members are to consider who has already received loot, shown consistent raid attendance, and may have the most viable upgrade option available for them. If problems arise during the “loot” process, members and non-members alike are asked to refer to the above mentioned Axiom Code of Conduct Policy and Procedure for information on how to have such matters handled diligently and as efficiently as possible. Dedicated Axiom Raid Loot Rules: This refers to Loot Rules during a raid in which ALL(100%) of the attendees are members of Axiom. Loot Council will consist of up to 5 Officers and/or GM/Founders, as well as two random raid attendees. The difference being, however, that Raid Members with poor/late Raid Attendance will NOT be allowed to sit on council, thereby leaving one seat empty on the council if they are chosen via random roll. The empty seat will NOT be filled by another random member, but instead Loot with tied votes from the council will be rolled for by aforementioned “linking” attendees who have received a vote from the council members to receive currently “linked” Boss drops. For all other questions/concerns please refer to the above article pertaining to Loot Council during Non-Dedicated Raids. Conclusion: In summary, Axiom is growing into a guild of some recognition on the Drak’thul server in World of Warcraft. Our values, as described herein, and this charter, will be used for guidelines and procedure when dealing with in-game situations. We will maintain our integrity, as well as our level of fun and commitment, as long as we are standing members of Axiom – striving to provide other members of the World of Warcraft community with outstanding examples of helpfulness, camaraderie, guild cohesion, synergy and intelligence.
